Wedding gift

A wedding gift nobody else will bring.

Two people can share a name, a house and a table. Only one pair can own the minute they married.

Not sure about the exact time? Walk the timeline from the year down to the minute.

What the gift actually is

You are buying a permanent public entry in a registry of minutes — the UTC minute of the ceremony, recorded with the couple's names, a photo and your message. Not the moment itself; the record of it.

Which minute to pick
  • The minute of the ceremony

The time on the marriage certificate, exactly as registered.

  • The minute of the first dance

If the band kept to the schedule, you already know it.

  • The minute they got engaged

The story they tell at the table, with a timestamp.

  • Their first anniversary, in advance

Claim a future minute and write the message now.

What they get
  • A public page at buythetime.co with their name on one exact minute.
  • A dedication line — “For Anna” — written above the record.
  • A title, a message, a photo, a video or a voice recording attached to the minute.
  • One owner per minute. Once it is claimed, nobody else can take it.
  • You can edit the page later; every change is kept in a history.

Questions
What is an original wedding gift?
A gift that cannot be bought twice. Because every minute in the registry has exactly one owner, claiming the minute of the ceremony guarantees that no other guest brings the same present.
How do I find the exact ceremony time?
It is on the marriage certificate, on the order of service, or in the registrar's schedule. If you cannot get it, use the time printed on the invitation.
Can I give it before the wedding?
Yes, and you can claim a future minute. The page exists as soon as you pay, and you can edit the message afterwards.
Can I put both their names on it?
Yes. The dedication line takes any text, for example “For Anna and Petr”.
